Step into Health uses walking as a means of improving health. Walking provides the following benefits:
Reduces stress
Helps you to sleep better
You can meet new friends
Helps reduce body weight
Helps you to become fitter
Allows you to make good use of local areas
Helps to reduce risk of many diseasess including: heart disease, diabetes, stroke, some cancers, obesity
Remember, the walks are a great way to start being more active.
All walks are free, accessible and are there to be enjoyed.
No special equipment is required, just come along in loose, comfortable clothing and footwear-appropriate to the weather conditions and bring refreshments as required.
Step into Health organises short walks in the Stockbridge Village and Kirkby areas. These are usually 2 miles and are scheduled to be of about 60 minutes duration.
